Hump Day! Sept News and Events plus TONIGHT

Hello Friends,

 

We hope you enjoyed your long, labor day weekend; we sure did. Our good friend Danielle Anderson paid us a visit in Kansas City and we spent a delicious couple of days catching up over cocktails and sharing meals. What a gift it was to spend time with friends from the road right here in our beloved hometown.

 

Like everyone else, we’re back to work…

We’ve got SO MUCH going on in September before our  #SpanishHoneymoon.  I get the shivers just saying it – we’re so excited. I’ll be posting the final wedding pictures, details about the honeymoon plans, and more later this week so watch for a special blog post notice!  In the 21 days until we leave, we’ve packed in some great shows on a mini Midwestern loop, including a very special Kansas City show with our talented friends, The Grand Marquis.  We’ve got a couple of surprises in store for you and the recordBar’s kitchen is up and cookin’, so come on down for dinner and a show. | Wed. 7p |

The Grand Marquis and Victor & Penny team up!Both groups will play a set, but we’ll also be playing tunes together and making sweet musical magic in the foot-stomping early KC jazz style. The kitchen is open and cooking at the record bar, so come for dinner and bring your dancing shoes to polish the floor afterward.

P.S. We just finished recording a few new tunes in the studio and we’re so delighted with the outcome that we’ve decided to release a 7″ 45 rpm on vinyl (our first)!  We’ll be announcing this soon and having a presale before the official release, so you can get copies in time for Christmas giving.  Exciting!
